Before we get started on what’s next, this second half of the Church Year, let’s lean into what Jesus prayed for his church. Before his capture, death, and resurrection, Jesus’ prayed for his people and the mission he has given us. In this prayer the Spirit lets us in on what Jesus prays to the Father. We who are in the world are not of it. Instead, we are about the business of this prayer, seeking to fulfill these words in service to God.
